Be prepared for moments of whimsical and witchy unplugged play. Illimat has the style and flavor of a classic card game with a dynamic twist. As you play, you combine cards and collect them, trying to gather more than your opponents. But hidden luminaries and changing seasons can alter your plans.

Beautifully illustrated by Carson Ellis and designed by award winning game designer Keith Baker & Jenn Ellis in partnership with The Decemberists. Illimat is a modern game with heirloom quality materials that feels like it's from another time.

Suitable for ages 12+ up, play time 20-50 minutes. For 2-4 Players.

About the French Edition:

Illimat rose in popularity in France with Voltaire's famous Société des Lumières salons, however it was suppressed under the Third Republic after President Adolphe Thiers who lost a fortune in a match against Otto von Bismarck. Now, we’re delighted to present the Illimat French edition. It's exactly the same as Illimat second edition but all language is in French. This edition is published by Édition Akileos based in Bordeaux, France.

So deal the cards, and imagine yourself in a salon with your lover while the wine flows and philosophers discuss the moral effects of the arts and sciences.

Just from a sensory perspective, this game is fantastic. The cards have this beautiful texture, the point markers are smooth and cool, I want to steal all the okuses and keep them in my pocket. Everything about it is beautiful. Watch the videos on how to play rather than reading the instructions to get started. Once everyone has the rules down, the game really picks up and it is a party and a half. Buy it.

Clever, engrossing, relatively easy to learn, portable. Recommended for any one that loves clever and intense board games, but wants something less intense then 6 hour complex strategy games.
